interesting for the class to listen to and discuss.

President Obama said that the moon landing was the height of exploration and discovery.

Dr Miriam Baltuck thinks that the space projects are a good idea. They are not a waste of money.
Why?
The space projects are only a small part of the US budget.
We need to develop satellite technology because it can improve our lives.
GPS technology is necessary for:
Agricultural land use.
Weather patterns
GPS was only invented because people wanted to go to space.
To reduce the cost of going into space scientists had to make things lighter and smaller. This encouraged them to develop new smaller and more efficient things.
